Their challenge
As the trade union and professional body for doctors and medical students in the UK, the BMA HR team are fully occupied meeting organisational demand. As such competing internal projects often create resource pressure, making it difficult to deliver day-to-day reward priorities at pace. The organisation needed flexible support that could provide trusted, objective expertise and additional capacity when required, without replacing internal ownership of reward decisions.
Our solution
Through Innecto’s Reward on Demand service, the BMA accessed expert consultancy across routine and specialist reward requirements, including gender and ethnicity pay reporting, ad hoc job evaluation, benchmarking and executive remuneration advice. Innecto also delivered HR workshops to build internal capability, modelled proposed reward structure changes and provided regular update calls as an external sounding board for pay policy and practice decisions, helping senior leaders make informed, objective and timely decisions. The outcome
-
Provided flexible reward support on demand, enabling the BMA to meet recurring and ad hoc reward requirements without increasing permanent internal capacity.
